G.D. (Gerry) Quon, CGA and Founding Partner (Retired)
Gerry (retired in 2011) is the foundation of Quon & Associates, Professional Accountants. Gerry has been involved in public practice with his own accounting practice since 1969.
Gerry has been married to his wife for over 51 years. He ran his own small business with his wife before they opened the accounting practice together. These life experiences combined with raising 4 children are what Gerry brings to the table for small to medium sized Canadian businesses in terms of tax planning, financial management and fiscal responsibility.
Gerry and his wife are actively involved in golfing, model railroading, travelling and enjoying life together. Over the years Gerry has committed to numerous volunteer hours with the CGA Association and various model railroading committees. Gerry maintains a very high moral code of ethics for himself and offers professionalism, longevity, commitment and stability to his clients.
Gerry is known to be a “workaholic” and considers this to be high praise. Gerry remains actively involved in the practice in the latter working years of his life as his commitment to his practice remains a key ingredient to his happiness and success.

Robert (Bob) Amantea, CMA and Partner
Bob’s grandparents immigrated to Canada in 1912 from Italy and so the history began.
Bob has been a partner and key member of Quon & Associates since 1983. Bob has been involved in public practice accounting since 1974. Bob has his Bachelor of Arts degree as well as his professional designation as a Certified Management Accountant.
Bob has been married to his wife Liz for over 36 years and has 2 sons that are professionals within their own chosen fields.
Bob’s volunteer hours to the north east community are numerous and tireless. Bob served on the Properties Sports Association Board as Treasurer from 1987 to 2002 and on the Board of Directors for Country Hills Golf Association from 2005 to 2009.
Bob has proven himself to be a very solid individual and has enjoyed a successful accounting career and has done so with integrity and longevity. This is the level of commitment and expertise that our clients have come to expect of Bob. He is an integral part of Quon & Associates in the area of tax planning, corporate reorganizations and dealings with Canada Revenue Agency in extraordinary tax matters.
Bob loves to golf, work out and travel and enjoys a nice glass of red wine with his Wine Club.

Nhu Hoang, RPA and Partner
Nhu arrived in Canada in 1993 from Vietnam and began a diligent commitment to her education and adaptation to Canadian life.
Nhu completed her Business Management Diploma in 1997. Nhu began her public practice career 13 years ago and has been with Quon & Associates since 2002. Nhu received her RPA designation in 2006 and is also currently working towards her CGA designation.
Nhu is a Certified QuickBooks Advisor and teaches our clients and other individuals with a passion to teach and to share the knowledge that she has. Nhu loves the challenge of teaching and our clients have benefitted from her training time with them.
Nhu is also highly involved in the day to day operations of Quon & Associates and is always assisting our clients and staff in all aspects of public practice accounting. Nhu is also a Commissioner for Oaths.
Nhu has been married since 2007 and is the proud mother of her daughter who is 2. Nhu enjoys the challenges that a full time career and family bring to her. Nhu’s greatest joys are her friends and family and her contribution to the success of Quon & Associates.

Brent Chagnon, Manager
Brent joined Quon & Associates in March 2011 and brings over ten years of public accounting experience to the firm. During this time, Brent has provided assurance, corporate tax and financial reporting recommendations for a wide variety of private companies in many different industries as well as to a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations. Brent has also been a part of every tax season since joining public practice therefore bringing to the firm a high level of personal tax knowledge. Brent graduated from Mount Royal College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and has also graduated from the CA School of Business program and is waiting to write the UFE. During his spare time, Brent enjoys watching movies and also watching several different sports such as hockey, baseball and football.

Kathyann Reginato , Office Manager
Kathyann has been working with Quon & Associates for 27 years. Kathyann handles numerous responsibilities for the firm in the area of marketing, administration and public relation matters.
In the 26 years that Kathyann has been with the firm the work has always remained fresh and challenging. The clients are interesting and diverse and there is always something “on the go”. To serve them better, KathyAnn is also a Commissioner for Oaths.
The commitment that Kathyann brings to her position stems from the strong relationships that she has with formed with clients and staff and of course with her father; Gerry Quon.
Every day is a new and exciting challenge at Quon & Associates for Kathyann and she treats each and every client with the respect and courtesy that they deserve. Kathyann believes that the key to working in the service industry is to truly enjoy the people that you do business with. That rings true with the clients at Quon & Associates.

Kathyann has raised 2 daughters and is about to become a grandmother. Kathyann loves to be outdoors travelling, golfing or camping and hopes that next year they can get her an outdoor office.

Susanne Haney , Administrator
Susanne has been with Quon & Associates for 19 years and handles the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for the firm. Susanne also applies her many years of on the job training towards providing bookkeeping services for several in-house clients.
Susanne is actively involved volunteering for her church. She enjoys the arts and all of the good times spend with friends and family.

JoAnn MacNeil, Administration
JoAnn started with Quon & Associates over a year ago. JoAnn brings a load of personal tax preparation and bookkeeping experience with her as well as very strong inter-personal skills that transfer over to our customer service needs.
JoAnn is a key part of the day to day administrative duties for the firm. The job is always changing and evolving and JoAnn has proven to be up for the challenge and has taken on many new challenges involving implementing new software, assisting with advertising matters and of course providing top-notch customer service skills.
JoAnn has an infectious laugh and a kind heart. JoAnn is the proud mother of two grown children and is now enjoying her role as “grandma” to her grand-daughter.
JoAnn spends her leisure hours camping, reading and enjoying live theater

Felicia Pangilinan, Senior Accountant
Felicia was an auditor in the Philippines. Felicia arrived in Canada in 1982. Felicia has completed her diploma in the Bachelor of Sciences and is a Commerce major in accounting and a CPA.
Felicia spent 3 years working at H & R Block and then joined Quon & Associates in 1986. Felicia is a senior accountant for the firm and handles a very diverse workload of personal, corporate and trust and estate matters for our clients.
Felicia is very involved in the Calgary-Phillipino community as well as her church. Felicia loves to play cards and travel (especially back to the Philippines to visit family).

Dianna Wooley, Staff Accountant
Dianna has been with Quon & Associates for 15 years. Dianna attended SAIT and completed her Business Administration Accounting Diploma. Dianna is a Bronze Level Certified Consultant for Simply Accounting. Dianna trains our clients and staff on Simply Accounting and she loves to teach everyone how to receive the quickest and most accurate information out of the program.
Dianna attends Simply Accounting conferences in order to pick up new tips and trick and will be attending the 2010 Conference in Vancouver this year.
Dianna loves to escape to Radium Hot Springs with her granddaughter whenever she can. They love the warm pools and the beautiful mountain scenery.

Jose Escalante, Staff Accountant
Jose moved to Canada from Mexico in 1987 with a diploma in accounting. Jose joined Quon & Associates in 2007. He has taken a variety of accounting and tax courses at SAIT. Jose’s work experience has been in the preparation of personal taxes and bookkeeping.
Jose was an avid soccer player and was instrumental in organizing the first Spanish soccer team in Calgary. Jose has been very involved in different Spanish activities in his community. In his spare time Jose enjoys watching soccer, hockey and baseball. Family time is important to him which he shares with his wife and three grown children.

Alicia Algeo, Junior Staff Accountant
Alicia is a brand new employee to Quon & Associates and is eager to learn and has risen to the challenges of public practice accounting. Alicia was born and raised in Calgary.
Alicia has completed numerous accounting courses through Mount Royal University and has been recently accepted into the CGA program where she is currently completing her required courses.
During her spare time when not studying, Alicia enjoys relaxing at home with her boyfriend watching movies, baking, and drinking a good glass of wine.

Jason Montgomery, Junior Staff Accountant
Jason joined Quon & Associates in 2010. Jason spent the first six and a half years of his accounting career at Farm Business Consultants, specializing in personal and corporate tax returns for farmers. Jason’s main year round responsibility was working on various government farm support program applications, like NISA, CAIS and AgriStability
Jason loves travelling to different parts of Canada, especially by train and going to museums. Jason also collects comic books and appreciates bad movies. Jason is also an avid video game player and can often be seen off hours on Xbox Live and World of Warcraft.
